What happens when you find yourself divorced but have to – or want to – keep the Ex involved with your kid’s lives and, of course, the financial expenditures that come along with raising kids in split households?
Today we speak with Justin and Jessica, a couple brought together by love for each other and the kids from her first marriage, to learn how we can set things up with our Ex to make communication and the relationship work.

Justin and his wife, Jessica, share a Google spreadsheet with her ex-husband and his new wife. They record every purchase made for Jessica’s two children from her previous marriage so there is no confusion and the households are able to split the costs 50/50.
Of course, they communicate about upcoming costs on a regular basis. In fact, both families do things on a regular basis.
It has become a part of their lives – and the lives of their new children too.
